Blitz Chess Open
Qatar Chess Association will be organizing Blitz Open Chess Tournament (5 Minutes for each player) on Thursday 7th June 2012 in the Boys chess club in AL-Slata AL-Maahed Street. The tournament is open for Qatari and Expatriates and for both genders, it will be a Swiss System 9 Rounds which will finish on the same day with prizes to be distributed immediately.
Registration starts in the venue on the same day 05:00 pm until 06:00 pm the start of the tournament is 06:00 pm.

بطولة شطرنج خاطف

يعلن الاتحاد القطري للشطرنج عن تنظيم بطولة شطرنج خاطف بليتز (5 دقائق لكل لاعب) يوم الخميس  الموافق 7/يونيو/2012 في مركز تدريب الأولاد الكائن في منطقة السلطة الجديدة شارع المعاهد.البطولة مفتوحة للجميع قطريين ومقيمين ذكور وإناث  يبدأ التسجيل في نفس اليوم الساعة 5:00 مساءً وحتى الساعة 6:00 علماً بأن الجولات ستبدأ الساعة 6:00 مساءً. ستقام البطولة على النظام السويسري 9 جولات وتنتهي في نفس اليوم بتوزيع الجوائز على الفائزين.

Doha was the host city for Arab Games December 2011, Chess was one of the Sports where 14 Countries participated in six different events:
1.Individual Blitz Chess (Men & Women) 2.Individual Rapid Chess for (Men & Women) 3.Classical Chess for Teams (Men & Women).

Qatari  GM Zhu Chen won two Gold Medals in the Individual Blitz for Women and the Individual Rapid Chess for Women. Another Gold Medal won for Qatar by Qatari GM Mohammed Al-Medaihki in the Individual Blitz Chess for Men where his compatriot GM Mohammed Naser AL-Sayed Won a Bronze Medal. Taleb Mohammad is the winner of the McDonald's Kids Open Chess

أحرز اللاعب طالب محمد المركز الأول في بطولة مكدونالدز المفتوحة  2012  والتي استمرت خمسة أيام الفترة من 8 إلى 12 أبريل 2012 كانت البطولة مفتوحة للقطريين والمقيمين للأعمار من 6 إلى 14 سنة أولاد وفتيات حيث نافس فيها أكثر من 100 لاعب ولاعبة وأحرزت اللاعبة منةالله طارق المركز الأول بين الفتيات.  انقر هنا من أجل االترتيب النهائي

Blitz Chess Open
WGM Julia Ryjanova is the Winner of the Blitz Open Chess Tournament held on Thursday 19th April 2012 in the Boys chess club. The tournament was open for Qatari and Expatriates and for both genders, it was a Swiss System 9 Rounds. The tournament was concluded at the same day with prizes distributed to the top five players by the Executive Director Mr. Hamad AL-TAMIMI.

بطولة شطرنج خاطف

أحرزت السيدة جوليا ريجانوفا بطولة الشطرنج الخاطف بليتز (5 دقائق لكل لاعب) والتي أقيمت يوم الخميس  الموافق 19/أبريل/2012 في مركز تدريب الأولاد الكائن في منطقة السلطة الجديدة شارع المعاهد. كانت البطولة مفتوحة للجميع قطريين ومقيمين ذكور وإناث  أقيمت البطولة بالنظام السويسري 9 جولات واختتمت في نفس اليوم بتوزيع الجوائز على الفائزين الخمسة الأوائل بحضور المدير التنفيذي للاتحاد السيد/ حمد محمد التميمي. انقر هنا من أجل الترتيب النهائي

TOYOTA CHESS OPEN For Kids Under 14 Boys & Girls; 8-13 March 2012
بطولة تويوتا المفتوحة للشطرنج للناشئين للبنين والبنات تحت 14 سنة، خلال الفترة 8-13 مارس 2012

The final two rounds and the Closing ceremony of the Toyota Open for kids was held in the luxerious Toyota showroom near the airport where more than 90 players were competing for the best prizes, in the last round all the attention was on the match Taleb Mohammed against Vivek Bushan and by winning this game Taleb Mohammed became the winner of the championship.

The closing and prize giving ceremony took place after the final round and was patronized by the President of the Qatar Chess Association Mr. Khalifa Mohammed AL-Hitmi and the Executive Director of Toyota Dr. Naser Abdulghany, was also attended by the CEO of Toyota Company Mr. Karim Mansour AL-Dhahabi, QCA Board members GM Mohammed AL-Modaihki, Mr. Yusef Mohammed AL-Motawaa and QCA Executive Director Mr. Hamad AL-Tamimi and as well as Honorary guest the FIDE CEO Mr. Geoffrey Borg who was at a short visit to Qatar.
