Joined the Qatar Chess Association in the Year 1986
International Grandmaster since 1998

    • Bronze medal on the 1st Board  in the World Chess Olympiad in Moscow, Russia in 1994.
    • Gold medal on the 1st Board in the World Chess Olympiad in Yerevan, Armenia in 1996.
    • Two Gold Medals in the World Chess Olympiad in Kalmykia, Russia in 1998, one on the 1st Board and the second as Best overall percentage result.
    • Bronze medal on the 1st Board in the World Chess Olympiad in Bled, Slovenia in 2002.

     

  1. World Level
    • Fourth Place in the World youth Chess Championship Under 12 in Puerto Rico Year, 1986
    • Four times qualified to the World Men Chess Championship - Las Vegas 1999, New Delhi 2000, Moscow 2001, Libya 2004.

    • Tied for the 1st Place in the International GoodRicke Open in India, 1995
    • Tied for the 1st Place in the international Benasque Open in Spain, 1997
